Our Background

The Ryan Family group of companies and partnerships made up by Evan, Paul and Scott Ryan and have been in business since 1974. Ryan Global Pty Ltd was established to take us forward with new projects and investments.

The group has owned and operated large scale rural enterprises since 1999 starting with Inkerman Station in the Gulf of Carpentaria, since sold and replaced with Olive Vale, Fairview and Koolburra stations ( 300,000 hectares) in Cape York (Laura), and Retreat station (148,000 hectares) in Western Queensland (Jundah). These properties have a combined livestock herd in excess of 25,000 head of cattle( Beef )and 10,000 sheep (merino wool)and are operated by Olive Vale Pastoral Pty Ltd. The group prides itself on performing every aspect of operations in-house where possible such as transport, major earthworks and some construction.

Choice Petroleum was started by the group with just three service stations in January 2000 and sold to private equity late 2011 with annual turnover in excess of $200 million. The group retained freehold title to 18 service stations. A multi-purpose travel centre has recently been constructed and operational with costs in excess $15million.

The group, through Parklands Resort Pty Ltd operates a new four star 71-room accommodation facility in Central Queensland providing accommodation too mainly to corporate clientele.

Evan Ryan is the founding financial partner of Steelforce Australia Pty Ltd to which he entered the business in 2000, and then introduced private equity player Next Capital in July 2006. Evan was involved in Steelforce becoming a manufacturer with the construction of new steel pipe and tube manufacturing plant mill in Dalian China capacity of about 120,000 tonne of product per annum, he remains a non-executive director.

Both Evan and Paul have experience with the operations of ASX-listed companies.

Evan, Paul and Scott Ryan are directors and shareholders other companies namely a few below:
• Ingrams Australia Pty Ltd –premier fit out companies performing national rollouts
• Allstyle Furniture Pty Ltd – commercial furniture nationally
• Commercial Furniture Design Pty Ltd – commercial furniture nationally and online ordering.

With this spread of business operations the group has at times had excess of 500 staff spread across these companies. There is currently around 120 staff, mostly in Queensland.

These operations are only possible due to the committed and dedicated administration and operational management team that has been involved with the group business for the past 15 years. Success has been achieved with the attitude that “anything is possible”, by thinking outside of the conventional box and modifying operations to suit the current market conditions.
